Looking for a home!

Dear all,I’m really hoping someone on this forum might be able to offer assistance.I am looking for a low-rent one bedroom self-contained flat or good size studio flat for a very lovely, newly married Syrian couple - Bashar and Lama. They are both in Europe as refugees under the UN’s vulnerable persons scheme. Bashar is a qualified doctor with three years experience in paediatrics. He moved to the UK two years ago. The UN scheme gives him 5 years leave to remain and the right to work and he is currently working as a Science Support Assistant in a secondary school in Waterloo, London whilst he plans to transfer his medical certificate so he can practice medicine in the UK. His wife Lama is an interior designer though not yet working in the UK; she is currently in Austria but will join Bashar in January once he has found them somewhere suitable to live.As a Learning Support Assistant Bashar is clearly on a low salary but he feels he could stretch to £800-£1000 per month including bills. Obviously as low a rent as possible would be helpful but we really want to find them somewhere that’s well maintained and secure. They have been through a very great deal to get to this point so if anyone knows of anything suitable will you please let me know?Just as background and by way of encouragement - we have a Syrian family living in our own rental property who arrived under the UN’s vulnerable persons scheme two years ago. We were fortunate to have been able to help at a difficult time in their lives but it has also proved to be a hugely rewarding and enjoyable experience all round and our two families have now forged a close and lasting friendship. We are happy to help, advise, support anyone who feels they are able to offer accommodation to Bashar & Lama in whatever way we can.Very many thanks and I do hope it’s ok to put this message out through this forum.Warm wishes, Yvette
