Are the council aware of this?
Not sure - I'll tweet this pic to Haringey just in case..
I think most of the paint has dried and so probably didn't end up going down the drain. But we are left with a horrible mess. I think the dumping incident in Crouch End reported a couple of days ago must be linked, as this happened on the same day. Perhaps an unsecured paint pot came off a van as it turned into Alexandra Avenue? Urgh.
If that gets in the road gullies will this paint end up (eventually) in the river Lea (via Muswell Stream & Pymmes Brook)? I'm assuming roads in our area drain into surface water drains and into rivers? Potential serious pollution!
