The Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms(LUTS) clinic at Hornsey Health Centre is unique in the UK, and probably in the world. The Director is an extraordinary man, Professor James Malone-Lee, ex- Medical Director of the Whittington. The clinic treats chronic cystitis (UTI), for which there are no NICE guidelines and over the years it has helped thousands of sufferers have reclaimed their lives.

Catherine West has been a splendid and dedicated spearhead in Parliament to highlight the failure in UTI testing which is integrally connected to these chronic conditions. She and other MPs will be meeting a Health Minister next Tuesday.

Incomprehensibly, there is an entrenched bureaucratic faction at the Whitt whose clear aim seems to be to strangle the life out of the clinic, which at present is prevented from accepting new NHS patients.

Please read the preamble to the attached petition, sign in support and pass to anyone who you think might be interested.

Thanks

  • Thank you for posting, Stephen. It is terrible news that the clinic is currently prevented from accepting new NHS patients, and I hope huge numbers sign the petition to help support this important campaign.

    • Shared on Facebook too.
