Various people have been talking about sharing tools and other things that you cannot now get from a shop in this covid19 era, which reminded me that we do have a tool-sharing category on this website. Here are some previous posts in it:

We were rather concerned about sharing equipment like a lawnmower in case it goes wrong, or worse somebody gets injured, and questions would arise over whether this resulted from a pre-existing fault, or misuse by the borrower. Perhaps we need to have a disclaimer that the borrower would sign? Any suggestions welcome.
Other equipment would be less of a problem - eg if you feel like spending your enforced captivity stripping wallpaper, borrowing a wallpaper steamer would be helpful!
Lots of other stuff could be shared too - like Lucy's post asking to borrow DVD's - I have added the category Sharing stuff other than tools for those.
