Good piece in the Guardian urging residents to save their waste water to put on street trees. Because local authorities can't afford the follow-up maintance of newly planted trees - which critically includes watering, around half of them will die. Dishwater and bathwater fine.

NB there are several newly planted trees on Victoria Road, in the section from Outram Road to Cresent Road. They look like they are struggling and would benefit from some tlc.
