Good piece in the Guardian urging residents to save their waste water to put on street trees. Because local authorities can't afford the follow-up maintance of newly planted trees - which critically includes watering, around half of them will die. Dishwater and bathwater fine.

  • NB there are several newly planted trees on Victoria Road, in the section from Outram Road to Cresent Road. They look like they are struggling and would benefit from some tlc.
