12202181275?profile=RESIZE_400xI've dozens of wild primroses for sale. Good sturdy plants (see below) which will flower next spring, and spread readily in the garden.

I'm selling them to raise funds for Hillside Green Space.

This is a small trangular area near the northern entrance to Tunnel Gardens. It was recently the target of an attempted theft by a chancer who fenced the lad off, erected stout gates, cleared the low scrub and laid a reinforced concrete raft (see below).

He claimed ownership!!

The actual owners are Network Rail who, after some two years of correspondence with locals - and relentless persistence from the LBH Enforcement Officer - have restored the site and in April this year granted a licence for us to manage it as a wildlife site.

So a quirky story with a happy ending and, I hope you'll agree, a good cause.

Please PM me if you're interested.

5 for £10, 12 for £20.

  • What a great story about a new local space, and so good to hear the site has been restored after the attempted theft. I'd love some wild primroses and will send you a mesage.

    • What an amazing story - well done to you and the rest of the Hillside Green Space group!

And a great idea to sell primroses. They are so lovely in the Spring, and their leaves continue to cover the ground for the rest of the year. And if you get down on your hands and knees - or pick them and put the vase in the middle of the table - they smell lovely!

Our garden is already full of them - but I'm very happy to make a contribution to the fund.

I've displayed your pics in your post, Stephen, hope that's ok.
