Bit of Triangle TLC

A kind neighbour gave me some wood so have used it for a bit of a border for this corner bed. Got various things (salvias, ferns, carex, heuchera and others) from the Sunshine sale and had a general tidy. Hope people like it and helps to gradually lift things (even if it only asks a few years and some of the plants get beaten by the heavy clay!).

  • It looks lovely, thanks Michael!

I have a couple of wildflowers that I could contribute (courtesy of another forum member) but they would need gravel to stand a chance with the clay.

    • Pleasure, Jake! Thanks for saying so. Really glad it's settled in and (touch wood...!) survived well so far this week.

Ah, that would be great! I'd say go for it and set them in, if you can grab some gravel to cover over? Happy to help if you like. We could pick up some gravel from Travis Perkins or Sunshine. Away this weekend up early mornings possible before work or just go for it...

  • Thanks for this Michael.

    • No worries, Ben - a day's work will hopefully benefit many 'person days' to come! Pleasure to do.

  • Michael this is wonderful. Thank you so much for tackling what has recently become a sad corner and helping it look cared for.  I hope the plants really take root and the rain forecast tomorrow should help with that.

    • Thanks, Susie! So glad you like it. Rain came at the perfect time! Most of these plants should settle in and we could always look to add more, climbers up the back etc. Hope it just continues to improve. Always remember the first time you got me involved clearing litter there! Love to keep up the tradition.
