Interesting to learn that Mickey's on Crescent Road is expanding. They've taken over the property next door. This used to be the closed "shop" with the unsafe sinage, which I think was essentially used as a stock room for spices and whatnot.
Pleased that a local entrepreneurial independent enterprise is able to expand its business. They all seem like decent folks in the restaurant, though I am expecting more illuminaition of the immediate area.

Yes a barbershop!
Don't know when officially opening, but is definitely fully kitted out inside. Quite fancy too, like some on Green Lanes.
I spoke to one of Mickey's owners a couple of weeks ago and he told me that they weren't expanding the restaurant after all - some issue with the landlord I understand. Instead, they are planning to open a barbers shop in that space. Now this news is about 3 weeks old so things may have changed since then, but I was disappointed to hear this, not least for the existing barbers shop on the parade. If anyone has an update, it would be welcome.

I noticed the changes there going on the other day. Thanks for pointing out what it's about. The previous occupiers were not a particularly good thing.
The shop was an eyesore and the signage was potentially lethal in a mild breeze...
