Ally Pally Plant Sale

Sunday 3rd June, from 2pm to about 4pm

As well as a huge range of vegetable and flower plants, all ready to go into the ground, there'll be stalls with books and lots of secondhand tools. As usual, our cafe will be starring! In case of rain, our stalls & outside cafe seating are covered.

'A wonderful variety of vegetable and flowering plants. Plus tea and delicious homemade cakes!'

Vegetable plants will include courgette, tomato, pumpkin, squashes, cabbage, sprouting broccoli, Brussels sprouts, calabrese, sweet peppers, aubergine, cucumber, peas, beans (runners, climbing French, borlotta), leeks, sweetcorn, kale, chard, basil, lettuce, beetroot.

Flowering plants will include annuals (snapdragon, petunia, french marigold, aster, million bells) and perennials (aquilegia,coreopsis, verbena, foxglove, achillea, delphinium, sedum, gaillardia)

Prices for everything will be very reasonable.

Our Trading Shed will be open selling sacks of compost and manure, loose fertilisers, netting, fleece, canes, and other useful items.

And, don't forget, PLEASE INVITE ALL YOUR FRIENDS!!!


Location and transport

Two entrances: (a) main gate at foot of Alexandra Palace Way, opposite Safestore storage building; (b) top gate just up from the AP Garden Centre entrance - look for signs.
Accessibility: The main gate is at the foot of quite a steep hill up to the Plant Sale. If you would prefer level access, please use the top gate.
Buses: For main gate, 144 & W3 to 'Alexandra Park' stop, or W7 to 'Victoria Stakes' stop. For top gate, W3 to Garden Centre stop.
Car: Park in the Grove car park. Travelling uphill on AP Way from the foot of Muswell Hill, entrance is on left, just past the AP Garden Centre. Or travelling from the east side of the park (Wood Green), go past the Palace, past the Palm Court bus stand island on the right at the end of the Palace, follow the road about 100 metres as it curves left and starts to descend, and the entrance to the Grove car park is on the right.
Top gate: Is in the park boundary fence set back from the road and footpath, a short way downhill from the Grove car park, or uphill from the Garden Centre, roughly level with the bus stop.

No-Gi Fundamentals Course (BJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) every Thursday for 6 weeks starting 12 September at Alexandra Park School, 7.30pm. Introductory martial arts.

Geekstraveganza – regular boardgame meetup on the FIRST Sunday of every month at Karamel, 4 Coburg Road, Wood Green, 1-6pm. NB change of date.

After School Sewing Club on Fridays at Stitch crafts, 2 Hazelwood Lane Palmers Green, 4.30-6pm. Term time.

Em Power fitness classes – Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings in OR Tambo Rec, 9-9.30am (term time only). The main focus is on core and legs.

Bowes Park Community Choir - Thursday evenings during term time at Bounds Green School, 7.15-9.15pm.

Life drawing sessions – alternate Saturday mornings at Rhodes Avenue Primary School, 10-12pm.

Salsa Wednesdays – Wednesday evenings at Bounds Green School, Bounds Green Road N11 2QG, 7-8pm. 

V&J Ensemble: Vocal group for ALL Singers on Wednesdays at St. Andrew's Church, Alexandra Park Road N10 (corner of Windermere Road), 6.50-8.30pm.
