Brioche Knitting Workshop. Thursday 26th September, 7 - 9pm, Firs Farm Community Hub, Winchmore Hill, North London.
Take your knitting to the next level in time for winter where the extra thick nature of this Brioche knitting will enable you to make delightfully warm and snuggly garments.
Brioche (named after the famous French Cake) looks very similar to knit 1 purl 1 rib but the main difference is the feel. Brioche stitch is much denser because it is knitted in two layers and creates a more “squidgy” fabric. Brioche stitch is suited to any yarn type and needle size. Brioche can also be used in any type of garment producing a fabric that is warm and snuggly so jumpers are particularly good and because it is fully reversible scarves work really well.
