Boost your crochet confidence with our “Next Steps” crochet class from Stitch! Crafts and Classes designed to help you spot, understand, and correct common crochet mistakes. Whether you're moving on from beginner projects or looking to refine your skills, this class will empower you to crochet with ease and assurance. This small friendly class allows you time with the teacher to learn new crochet skills and solve problems you are having. This crochet class in Palmers Green, North London is easy to access, just 5 minutes walk from Palmers Green Station or a simple bus ride from Turnpike Lane or Wood Green underground stations. You will be provided with a delicious hot drink from My Time cafe to enjoy as you crochet in this friendly and welcoming local cafe. They also have a delicious range of cakes you can purchase or you could stay on and sample their tasty lunch menu after the class.

Class Highlights:

Identifying Mistakes: Learn to recognise common crochet errors such as incorrect stitch counts, uneven edges, and twisted stitches.
Fixing Errors: Master techniques for undoing mistakes, frogging, and reworking stitches without starting over.
Improving Techniques: Discover ways to prevent common mistakes before they happen and develop a more consistent crochet technique.
Understanding patterns: How to navigate simple crochet patterns so you can expand the number of crochet projects available to you.
Further stitches: such as decorative stitches and ribbing to help give your projects a professional finish.
Supportive Environment: Gain confidence through personalised instruction, group discussions, and a supportive community of fellow crocheters.

You should have a basic understanding of crochet stitches (chain, single crochet, double or treble crochet) to attend this class. If you have not done these stitches we recommend our beginners crochet class.

What you need to bring - If you have a crochet project you are working on and need help then please bring it to the class. Please also feel free to bring your own hooks and yarn, however we can also lend these to you

What we provide - We will have hooks and yarn available for you to use in the class if you do not bring your own. You will also get a delicious hot drink to enjoy during the class.

Museum of Homelessness will be open from 17 April to 1 November, at the Manor House Lodge, inside Finsbury Park, Seven Sisters Road N4 2DE 12.30-4.30pm.

Illustrating Children’s books, course for adults on Wednesday mornings at The Green Shed, 1 Tetherdown N10, 10-11.30am. April 30 – July 9.

Geekstrav e ganza – regular boardgame meetup on these dates at Karamel, 4 Coburg Road, Wood Green, 1-6pm.

Em Power fitness classes – Monday and Friday mornings in OR Tambo Rec, 9-9.30am (term time only). The main focus is on core and legs.

Life drawing sessions – alternate Saturdays during term time at Rhodes Avenue Primary School, 1-3pm.

Free Martial Arts and Self-defence for Women and girls for the month of March on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Alexandra Park School.
