Calling novel writers, novella writers, short story writers and fictionistas…
Is it time to air the story you’ve been working on alone? Are there several ideas you can’t choose between? Do you require a deadline to get you going? Is something not quite working but you’re not sure why? Or do you just want to feel part of a working writers’ gang?
Roll up your sleeves and come along to our fiction writing workshops. Every week we’ll discuss several participants’ submissions. We’ll follow an established protocol to keep the feedback balanced and ensure that we give each piece our best attention. As engaged and respectful readers, we’ll provide our writers with encouragement, constructive criticism and questions, paying attention to craft and vision.
An extra part of each session will involve writing exercises. These are designed enlarge the understanding of our craft, spark up our imaginations and push against self-limitations. They will take place during class with time for writers to reflect and share.
