  • Haringey COP26 Climate Festival – Finsbury Park (south end) Sun 31st Oct 1pm to 4pm
     
    Come along to ‘Celebrate Culture, Understand Shortfalls’ on the first day of COP26.
    Take the Haringey Climate Challenge at https://haringeyclimateforum.org/celebrate-culture-understand-shortfalls/ . Encourage your family to enter the art competition – categories at https://haringeyclimateforum.org/culture-shortfalls/#  Come along with flags, national costumes (that you have already), national food and pop up performances to add atmosphere.
     
    Finsbury Park will be a reflective space to learn about different Countries – what is good about them and why their climate pledges are not good enough. Talk to people there about a Country they know about. Find out about the COP26 events on 6th Nov.
     
    Cllr Mike Hakata will also be launching the Haringey Carbon Climate Fund at 2pm
     
    More volunteers would be welcome to record the event and interviews with people to send messages to the COP26 delegates that they can’t hide shortfalls from Haringey people!

5 and 6-a-side Football League on Wednesday evenings from 14 May to 17 December at Christ’s College, East End Road (where it meets the North Circular), East Finchley N2 0SE, 8-10pm. Leisure Leagues.

Gi Fumdamentals Course (BJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) on Tuesday evenings in May at Alexandra Park School, 7pm.

Museum of Homelessness will be open from 17 April to 1 November, at the Manor House Lodge, inside Finsbury Park, Seven Sisters Road N4 2DE 12.30-4.30pm.

Illustrating Children’s books, course for adults on Wednesday mornings at The Green Shed, 1 Tetherdown N10, 10-11.30am. April 30 – July 9.

Geekstraveganza – regular boardgame meetup on these dates at Karamel, 4 Coburg Road, Wood Green, 1-6pm.

Em Power fitness classes – Monday and Friday mornings in OR Tambo Rec, 9-9.30am (term time only). The main focus is on core and legs.

Life drawing sessions – alternate Saturdays during term time at Rhodes Avenue Primary School, 1-3pm.

Painting for Pleasure – Thursdays at CUFOS Community Centre (the old railway station), Top of The Avenue N10, 10-12.30pm or 1.30-4pm. Jan 9th - March 27th.
