Pete Hurt (Tenor), Kate Williams (Piano), Dave Green (Bass), Stu Butterfield (Drums)
Not a working Quartet as such, but these four have played together many times over the years in different permutations.
Stu is local Muswell Hill resident and puts on all the Jazz Thursday nights at Karamel.
Pete, Kate and Stu are members of Mingus Moves, while Dave and Stu have been part of the Great Wee Band. Pete and Dave play together in Henry Lowther's Still Waters.
Apart from his wonderful tenor playing, Pete is a brilliant composer and arranger and fronts his own Big Band. Kate is also a renowned composer and leads a wonderful Quartet featuring ace flautist Gareth Lochrane.
