What you will learn -
Are you a complete sewing beginner looking to make sense of how to use a sewing machine?
This is a one-off class for beginners perfect for you! Hosted by expert seamstress Pat Stevens.
You will
• Learn your way around the workings, parts and components of a sewing machine
• Learn how to set up and thread a machine and how to wind a bobbin
• Learn how to set the correct tension
• Learn how to sew straight seams
* Changing the needle
* You will practice some stitching in order to gain the skills you need to tackle your future projects.
What you need to bring -
All equipment and material provided. We have Janome sewing machines on site. Do bring a notebook in case you wish to jot down ideas.

PARKING: There are a couple of parking spaces at the rear of the centre (take the first left alley from Oakthorpe Road and remove cones to park) There is also usually plenty of free parking further up in Oakthorpe Road.
