Live robot fighting in Wood Green (N22) on August 23rd 2025, providing 4 rounds of (UK) Beetleweight robot fighting at the Karamel Club in Wood Green where 24 roboteers do their utmost to break each others angry RC cars.

We are expecting the venue to open for roboteers around 10:00 am, the event to start around 12:00 and be finished by 6pm, allowing for a lunch break, whiteboards and ‘fun’. Everyone loves fun, right ?

This is a relaxed, social and experimental event to prove that yes, we can put on robot fights in the city.

How does the event work ?

All entrants are garanteed 4 fights, with time between each for repairs and relaxation. First round will be randomised, wher possible pitting spinners vs spinners, non vs non etc. From there the swiss system will be used via the generated Challonge bracket to decide fights, where winners fight winners and runner-ups fight runner-ups.

If there is time and desire, anyone tied on points by the end of the day is welcome to fight it out for a final ranking.

“BBB Rules” are in place, including switches. full information can be found here: http://bbb.gd/brules

What is at the venue ?

The Karamel club is an exclusively Vegan, community theater, bar and cafe in the heart of Wood Green, London. The bar will be open all day and the kitchen from 12:30, serving Vegan food and drinks to customers and robteers alike.

What do I need to do ?

Sit tight for now and wait for signups to open at the start of July on Rampage. If this is your first event you can pre-create your ‘bot profile on https://www.rampagebots.comin advance for signups opening on Friday July 4th at 8pm. While you wait, re-book your summer holidays, plan your travel into the city, arrange a dogsitter, get tickets to the Eye and generally get ready for a beautuful Saturday in the City.

If possible bring an extension lead. Some will exist. I don’t yet know how many! We do have chairs though. And tables.

On the day, arrive after 10:00, techcheck before 11:30, relax and get ready for some fun and games from 12:00

Travel

The Karamel Club is at 4 Coburg Rd, London N22 6UJ. 5 minutes walk from Wood Green Underground on the Picadilly line, which itself is 20 minutes Northbound from Kings Cross area, or approx 30 minutes from Paddington.

The use of public transport is HIGHLY RECCOMENDED. There are no planned track closures on the day so do yourself a favour and get the train/tube. While there is parking on site, it is limited and the parking attendants in the area are voracous.
