👻🕷️💀 Join us on Friday 25 October for the Halloween edition of London Vegan Mixer 🕸️ including live music, DJ set, and a fancy dress contest - who will wear the scariest attire? 🧛🦇👽

We also have a WhatsApp group to chat with the hosts and/or other attendees - send a private message or a comment to request the link.

MIXING COCKTAILS, TUNES... AND VEGANS!
free entry · deejay set by DJÄK · delicious food by Kath & Roger

Join us for a fun dance night at Karamel Club, where we'll take over the entire venue - socialise in the restaurant area over food and drinks, or join the dancing crowd in the back room if you're up for some groovy beats! (There will always be a seating area dedicated to quieter conversations.)

FANCY DRESS CONTEST
Our ever-generous friends at Karamel are donating prizes for the most creative attendees!

  • The best costume will be awarded a free meal and a bottle of champagne
  • The best make-up will be awarded a free meal

THE MUSIC - DOUBLE BILLING!
7.30pm: To celebrate Adriana's birthday, Ivan Perilli has organised a live music “wonderful messy show with songs & members of the Happy Graveyard Orchestra(@happygraveyardorchestra) and The Banana Planets (@thebananaplanets)”.

9.00pm: DJ set curated by DJÄK (@djakfruit), an eclectic mix of dance music across a broad spectrum including house, rap, pop, drum and bass, dubstep, r'n'b and more - plus some spooky tunes especially for the occasion 😱

ATTENDING
Entry to the event is totally free, but please do support the venue by buying food and/or drinks (both 100% vegan!).

All are welcome, and we strive to make the event a safe and inclusive space for everyone - no discriminatory or abusive behaviour of any kind will be tolerated.

THE VENUE
Karamel is a very short walk from Wood Green Tube station (Piccadilly Line). The entrance to the venue is step-free and there is a wheelchair-accessible toilet. Karamel is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friends if they'll enjoy it.

Originally founded and run by vegan activists, today it’s operated by Collage Arts (a charity supporting the local community) and managed by the lovely Kath who, together with her charming husband Roger, also prepares the delicious homemade food served there… in very generous portions ;) and not forgetting the fairly affordable prices!

For well over a decade now, Karamel has been at the heart of London’s vegan community, helping it reach its current size - for example:

  • giving a new home to London Vegan Drinks (a London Vegan Meetup event and Europe’s largest vegan social gathering at the time!) when it outgrew its preceding venues
  • providing a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ vegans (inclusivity and safeguarding having always been a central tenet of theirs) with Fat Gay Vegan's Queer Vegan Disco
  • throwing official or de facto afterparties for many Animal Rights marches and protests

Nowadays, they host not only another London Vegan Meetup event, the regular Geekstraveganza (as they’ve done since its inception in 2016), but also a lot of other wonderful events for both the local area and the wider London vegan community.
