Make a Paper Lampshade at a Papershades workshop

Come and make a fabulous paper lampshade from a paper collage design at this Papershades workshop. You'll sit at the table in artist Ros Freeborn's studio in Muswell Hill and sift through a huge variety of paper - tissue paper, wrapping paper, wallpaper, printed paper. The rip and snip your way through the selection to create a totally unique design on one piece of A4 card. Once you're happy with your design Ros will print it onto special Papershades paper and then you'll cut out five panels. Assemble the panels by fixing them to two wheel-shaped supports and voila ! You have created a paper lampsahde the world has never seen before! Perfect for your home or a present for someone special.

Places are just £60. The workshop runs from 2pm - 5pm. There will be plentiful tea and coffee and Ros always bakes a cake specially for the workshop. More information about workshops can be found on the Papershades website: www.papershades.co.uk

Em Power fitness classes – Monday and Friday mornings in OR Tambo Rec, 9-9.30am (term time only). The main focus is on core and legs.

Life drawing sessions – alternate Saturdays during term time at Rhodes Avenue Primary School, 1-3pm.

Free Martial Arts and Self-defence for Women and girls for the month of March on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Alexandra Park School.

Painting for Pleasure – Thursdays at CUFOS Community Centre (the old railway station), Top of The Avenue N10, 10-12.30pm or 1.30-4pm. Jan 9th - March 27th.
