• Dec 9, 2021 from 10:30am to 11:30am
  • Location: Zoom Online from Collage Writing Room
  • Latest Activity: Oct 27

During this friendly session, Christabel will introduce herself and her agency, and tell us about some of her authors. She will talk about how a literary agency works, what excites her interest, and how to hone your submission package. Please come ready to give a 2 minute ‘elevator pitch’ for your current project if you would like to. There will be time for questions too.

Christabel is building a list of children’s authors and illustrators, from picture books to Young Adult fiction. She is particularly drawn to writing that feels authentically child-oriented with clear insight into the way young people feel and think. Her favourite works for children include Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot and Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn.
