The ABC of Embroidery - Beginners and Refreshers

Come and join us at StitchN13 to learn the amazing stitch art of embroidery. This technique is a useful skill to have, allowing you to embellish garments and even use for mending and disguising wear and tear of clothing, giving them a new lease of life.
With our instructor Sharon Wallin guiding you in this class, will learn the basics to jump start your embroidery journey.

In this class you will have fun creating some simple designs using a range of embroidery stitches. This class is aimed primarily at beginners, but could also suit someone looking to refresh their existing embroidery skills. During this class you will learn a number of stitches including:

-Running
-Stem
-Satin
-Chain
-Lazy Daisy
-French Knot
-Bullion Knot
-Seed Stitch.
Refreshments and a welcoming and warm environment will be provided. We look forward to meeting you soon.

CLASS SIZE : 6-8 max – small group sessions enable you to have maximum support in developing your skills

DATE : Saturday 01st April 12:30-2:30

DURATION : 2 hours total tuition

COST : £50 total (included is a embroidery needle, white fabric and embroidery thread )

LOCATION: Stitch Crafts and Classes! 2 Hazelwood Lane, Palmers Green N13 5EX

Gi Fumdamentals Course (BJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) on Tuesday evenings in May at Alexandra Park School, 7pm.

Museum of Homelessness will be open from 17 April to 1 November, at the Manor House Lodge, inside Finsbury Park, Seven Sisters Road N4 2DE 12.30-4.30pm.

Illustrating Children’s books, course for adults on Wednesday mornings at The Green Shed, 1 Tetherdown N10, 10-11.30am. April 30 – July 9.

Geekstraveganza – regular boardgame meetup on these dates at Karamel, 4 Coburg Road, Wood Green, 1-6pm.

Em Power fitness classes – Monday and Friday mornings in OR Tambo Rec, 9-9.30am (term time only). The main focus is on core and legs.

Life drawing sessions – alternate Saturdays during term time at Rhodes Avenue Primary School, 1-3pm.

Painting for Pleasure – Thursdays at CUFOS Community Centre (the old railway station), Top of The Avenue N10, 10-12.30pm or 1.30-4pm. Jan 9th - March 27th.
