Haringey Shed is an inclusive theatre and performing arts company for children and young people. We provide a range of term time after school activities and holiday programmes as well as outreach work in the community, working in local schools, nurseries and community centres.
Haringey Shed’s repertoire of inclusive theatre techniques and our ‘no auditions’ policy strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment in which every young person has a part to play and is valued and respected
We believe every young person, regardless of their ability and background should have access to a safe, respectful and creative environment. “Where everyone has a part to play” is a slogan that we are very proud of.
The Dividing Line
Written by Nigel Munson Music by Terry Tetteh-Martey
Zainab, her mother and her three brothers have had to flee their war torn country and have left their father behind. Finding themselves in Tottenham, they work hard to build a new life, however Zainab struggles to fit in at school. When Zainab’s father arrives a series of events unfold.
Inspired by a true story, The Dividing Line is a new piece of Music Theatre performed by Haringey Shed’s Youth Theatre. Powerful and emotional, this new production, with original score, is a moving story about the life of a young woman and her family, thousands of miles from home.
