Alexandra Park Neighbours is a year old !

Come and celebrate our first anniversary with other neighbours on Saturday 19th March from 2-4pm at Alexandra Park Library! We have also invited local businesspeople listed on our Hidden High Street page (i.e. those without shopfronts), our advertisers, and a couple of local community groups, to come and chat about the services or products that they provide, or the aims that they pursue.  Find out from local practitioners of yoga and counselling what they practice, or see/try samples of toys and handmade creams …

Wine/juice and cake will be provided – donations welcome.

    If your interested in wood fuel and stoves, there will be someone here from the Muswell Hill Sustainability Group who can talk about their wood fuel group (taking down unwanted trees, cutting it for fuel - you can join in and cut your own), and how to use wood stoves safely and efficiently: along with information on various other energy issues.

5 and 6-a-side Football League on Wednesday evenings from 14 May to 17 December at Christ’s College, East End Road (where it meets the North Circular), East Finchley N2 0SE, 8-10pm. Leisure Leagues.

Gi Fumdamentals Course (BJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) on Tuesday evenings in May at Alexandra Park School, 7pm.

Museum of Homelessness will be open from 17 April to 1 November, at the Manor House Lodge, inside Finsbury Park, Seven Sisters Road N4 2DE 12.30-4.30pm.

Illustrating Children’s books, course for adults on Wednesday mornings at The Green Shed, 1 Tetherdown N10, 10-11.30am. April 30 – July 9.

Geekstraveganza – regular boardgame meetup on these dates at Karamel, 4 Coburg Road, Wood Green, 1-6pm.

Em Power fitness classes – Monday and Friday mornings in OR Tambo Rec, 9-9.30am (term time only). The main focus is on core and legs.

Life drawing sessions – alternate Saturdays during term time at Rhodes Avenue Primary School, 1-3pm.
