An unusual sighting of a heron in Outram Road, moving from garden to garden. Presumably looking for a nice boggy garden to hang out in. Plenty of choice but far better options in Alexandra Park.

Herons get mercilessly bullied by other birds such a crows. Hard for them to find a quiet spot without being harassed. Havng said that, dont think many carp owners feel as sorry for them!!
I didn't know that about herons! If we go through another sustained period of rainfall, I'll probably end up with unofficial pond at the end of the garden. Which will be pleasing for any passing herons.
