Who is Mayela?
Mayela is a local 12 year-old tennis star who has been supported by the Pavilion Sports and Café and in particular, Robby and Johnboy, for the past two years. The Pavilion has helped her with floodlit court use, hitting partners, coaching and financial support because we want to see Mayela fulfil her potential. She has won four national tennis tournaments for under 12’s and she is currently the top amateur national player in her age group. She lives in Bounds Green, her family bring her to the park for training on a regular basis and her father, Will, drives Mayela to tournaments all over the country to pursue her amazing talent. This event is to raise funds to assist with the cost of attending the next level of tennis tournaments which will take place in Europe.
