Friends of Alexandra Park presents....

Spring Fungi Walk Sunday, 23rd April 11am

On St George's Day 2017, we hope to find some St George's Mushroom! If not we might have to settle for the fungi named after another Englishman - King Alfred and his rather less attractive cakes -  not difficult to guess which is shown. Andy Overall will point out and identify what is found. There are not so many fungi around in Spring, but given a little dampness, our searching should be rewarded. Some fungi fruiting bodies are present all year like the bracket fungi on trees so there is always something to be seen.
