Our annual summer fete will be held on The Triangle, at the Crescent Road/Palace Gates Road junction, on Sunday 14th June. This is about a week earlier than we have usually done it in the past.
All our favourite events will take place: music, mask making, cakes, plants to buy - and of course The Water Game - and some novelties.
Come and join in.
Join the Friends of Alexandra Park for our next Tree Walk on Saturday 21st March at 2pm.
Meet at the Bedford Road (Alexandra Palace Station) entrance to the Park, by the Gas Hut (small brick building on the left).
We are planning to have a quick look at some trees near the Gas Hut (such as elms, and wild service) then walk up through the conservation area, cross the road and see the trees in the Blandford Hall area, and by the animal enclosure.
The main aims will be to identify trees in early spring, before most things are in leaf, and to think a little about why particular trees were planted, or grow in particular places. We will also cross two lines of oaks marking old field boundaries.
