Fungi Walk Sunday, 8th November at 2:15pm.
SORRY NOW FULLY BOOKED
This is the time of year when all sorts of fungi can be found in Alexandra Park, on the ground amongst the grass and leaves and on both dead and live wood. It is surprising how a little careful searching can reveal delicate little fungi such as the pleated inkcap (Parasola plicatilis) pictured with some other recent finds.
With the help of our fungi expert Andy Overall we usually identify over 30 different species, learn why a species appears in a particular spot and which fungi are best not eaten!
This is a popular walk, so if you would like to come, please register with an email to allyparkn10@gmail.com stated how people you will be and we will let you know where to meet.
