You are invited to our Annual General Meeting on Thursday 19th of May at 7:30pm in the Park Information Centre in The Grove. As it is 10 years since the Friends group was formed, we would like to take a quick look back at what we have achieved and then hear from our guest speaker, Louise Stewart, the Chief Executive of the Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust.   Louise will tell us about current and future plans for the Palace and Park.

As in previous years this is also a good opportunity to discuss with you the direction we should take in future. We can  talk about how we would like to see the Park develop in the future.  What should it look like? What activities should be taking place there? How do we best enhance the environment of the Park?  We want to hear your views.

We will also hold the necessary elections for our committee.  The Friends is continuing to grow its membership and activities because of the great work of the volunteers who operate the Park Information Centre, organise activities, and put out information.  With more volunteers we could do more.  There is a wide variety of one-off tasks or more regular assistance which would make a big difference. If you would like to become more involved with the Friends, the AGM is a good opportunity to offer your help, or drop us an email before the meeting if you would like to talk about what you might do.

And we will have a little celebration of our 10th anniversary. Do come along!
